FoundationCCC’s Community Impact programs continue to serve low-income and disadvantaged communities across the state by quickly and efficiently connecting them to resources that can positively impact their lives.

Increasing Community
Access to Public Resources
and Pandemic Relief

  • Distributed $700 million in relief aid in partnership with the California Department of Social Services Golden State Grant Program, which connects California’s most underserved communities with support services to help address pandemic-related hardships, and provided case management and customer service to millions of families and individuals across the state.

  • Fielded over 250,000 calls through the Community Impact Call Center, which connects disadvantaged and low-income communities to statewide programs and services, and employed 100 new agents across California, including community college students, as a result of three new contracts.

Programs and Services
Promoting Clean Communities

  • Provided 36,522 direct services to consumers through the Smog Check Referee Program, including technical inquiries and on-site and virtual appointments, and provided over $414,543 in funding to automotive centers on 35 site locations, including 32 college campuses and three commercial businesses, in partnership with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair.

  • Connected over 37,000 Californians with California Climate Investments (CCI) funding opportunities through the new Community Connections directory, which facilitates partnerships between agencies and communities aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve the environment.

  • Coordinated webinars to help transit agencies, farmers, businesses, and tribal governments receive funding for environmental programs related to affordable housing, wildfire mitigation, water quality, and more.

  • Provided resources to 580 income-qualified Californians to replace older vehicles with cleaner options through the Replace Your Ride program in partnership with the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

  • Increased efforts in the environmental equity space through a new partnership with the California Energy Commission and a project to assess community awareness of its Clean Transportation Program, and by engaging with Access Clean California, a statewide project which connects income-qualified residents with clean energy and transportation benefits.

  • Enhanced the Smog Check Referee Scheduling System with new reporting capabilities which help effectively visualize and present the growing usage of Referee services throughout the state.
